Expedition with ELTRES™ by Sony

日本語

Have you ever heard of the Hachimantai Aspite Line? It’s a 27-km road that straddles the border between Iwate and Akita, and is famous for its “snow corridor” that opens after mid-April every year.

On April 24th and 25th, we visited to find cellular dead zones for our upcoming PoC (proof of concept) event with ELTRES™ by Sony, an LPWA network.

This coming summer we are planning to host a PoC (proof of concept) event for LEOCS in collaboration with Sony ELTRES™ utilizing various moving objects, like drones, cars, etc.

Mr. Hidaka joined us as a representative of ELTRES™. Sony ELTRES™ is an LPWA network that boasts good connection to high-speed objects well over 100km away. We’re looking forward to working with their team to provide users consistent data access even over cellular dead zones.

This trip was a chance for us to solidify our partnership. Our team got to meet Mr. Hidaka, do some blue skying, and have deep dive technical discussions, all within the natural beauty of Iwate.
